Advent Sunday School

The Journey by Adam Hamilton

The purpose of this book is to explore the story of Jesus' birth with fresheyes and ears!  Using historical information, archaeological findings, and personal reflections, Hamilton takes us on a journey through the Holy Land following the footsetps of Mary, Joseph, the shepherds and others.

Each chapter will address four questions:

  • What actually happened leading up to and including the first Christmas?
  • What does the story teach us about God's character?
  • What does it tell us about the child whose birth we celebrate?
  • What does this story mean for our lives?
  •

Children, youth and several of the adult classes will participate in this Advent study.  If your class chooses not to do the series, please feel free to attend a class that is.  Details will be in the newsletter.
