1967
saw the rise of an additional educational building with a social hall and
kitchen. The church also bought the adjoining property and the old Central
School, which later burned.
The years from
1970-1980 were years of big growth in numbers and most importantly in outreach.
The love and concern of its members affected many people during this time. 1983
saw the completion of the family life center. The new gym attracted many young
people and thus the church grew steadily. In 1986 the Pioneer and Senior High
classrooms were completed. At this time the Session-History room and Parlor
began construction, which was completed in 1987.
In 1
991, the
Sesquicentennial was one of the church’s proudest moments.
A published history
was completed and gave people a chance to look back on the past but to also have
visions for the future.
To embrace the new
millennium, the church made the decision to remain at its present location and
has developed architectural drawings for a 15-20 year master plan for expansion
of facilities. It has been and continues to be a story of one church’s walk of
faith.
